Event Recaps:

On Thursday, February 20, the first annual Philly Sports Roast was held at the Crystal Tea Room. This event, produced by Hair O’ The Dog’s Metrospect Events and 94.1 WIP brought out a who’s who of Philly sports media members and VIP’s to get a few final digs in at Terrell Owens. We saw the likes of Joe Conklin, Al Morganti, Rob Ellis, Stu Bykofsky, Gov. Ed Rendell, Jon Runyan, DA Seth Williams, Matt Cord and more take the stage for an unforgettable night of comedy. And, who could forget the cardboard cutout of Donovan McNabb, which really made the party complete! We’re already looking forward to next year’s victim for the second annual Philly Sports Roast. Should it be Dykstra? Allen Iverson? Charles Barkley? Mitch Williams? The list could go on and on – let us know who you’d pick!

On Saturday, February 22, No Dog Gets Left Behind held its annual Valentine’s Event at the DoubleTree in downton Philadelphia. Guests had an opportunity to meet several soldier/dog pairs who were reunited after forming an unbreakable in Iraq and Afghanistan, and were treated to a live performance later from the band POWERi. The event raised enough money to make another reunion possible, and all four of Philadelphia’s news stations stopped by to catch the action. Click on the station links to see footage from 6abc, Fox 29, CBS 3 and NBC 10. Also, read this heartwarming story from the Philadelphia Inquirer which gives an inside look at some of the soldiers No Dog Gets Left Behind has helped.

Hair O’ The Dog held a VIP post-party at Parx Casino on Thursday, February 27. The fun roared on with sounds by Hair O’ The Dog founder, DJ Dan Cronin and a special appearance from the Skin Palette girls, Suzie Celek and Julie Dorenbos.
