Event Recaps:

We Knocked This One Out of the Park- MLB All-Star Week Recap: After lots of preparation and anticipation Hunt Auctions and Jenna Communications headed out to Cincinnati, OH for this years MLB All-Star Week FanFest. From Thursday to Monday the Hunt Auctions team had over 450 items of incredible sports memorabilia on display for fans before they went up for auction. President David Hunt interviewed with MLB.comFox Sports Ohio, ABC 2 News, and more to promote this awesome event. More than 123,300 people attended the FanFest making it a huge success! Hunt Auctions also held a free sports memorabilia appraisal fair so fans could bring in their own items. The biggest find at the appraisal fair was a 1925 Babe Ruth bat that was signed and given to the mayor of Chicago, which was estimated at $300,000-400,000! The event culminated on Tuesday with a live auction of the items. Some of the biggest sellers were the 1960 Ted Williams All-Star Game Bat, which went for $138,000, and the Kansas City Monarchs Professional Model Jersey c.1945-47, which sold for $92,000. It was a great first event between Hunt Auctions and Jenna Communications and we are looking forward to working with them more in the future! All hands on deck! On July 18, nearly fifty members of the Casey Cares Foundation headed to a pirate-themed Caring Connection Party, at the Independence Seaport Museum on Penn’s Landing. We were thrilled to attend the event for the second year in a row and had a great time making battle-rattles, playing on the ships and eating delicious pastries provided by NetCost Market. Caring Connection Parties provide a great way for the critically ill children and their families to forget about hospital visits and bills and spend the day connecting with one another. It was awesome to see the families interact and we are so grateful to have gotten to meet them hear some of their stories. Special thanks to Fox 29 News at 10 and Dan Wing from KYW 1060 and CBSPhilly.com for covering the fun event! Our next event with Casey Cares will be a studio tour inside 6 ABC once the kids go back to school! We can’t wait!

NetCost pays it forward to a Casey Cares family…On July 27, the Roberson’s, a Casey Cares family, got an unexpected knock on their door – to their surprise, Andre from NetCost Market was waiting to give them a special gift of free groceries for a year! NetCost offers a world-class selection of imported foods that are nearly impossible to find elsewhere. Our client was very eager to support the Casey Cares Foundation for critically ill children and their families. You can watch Ukee Washington’s “Brotherly Love” segment that aired on CBS3 here.

On Thursday, July 23, local business professionals gathered at Arugula Ristorante in Huntingdon Valley for a Business Social Networking Event, hosted by Denis Sinelnikov of Media Components. The event was sponsored and helped run by Jenna Communications. It was great to see businessmen and women from the surrounding area come out to meet and connect with each other. It was an evening packed with successful interactions promoting the attendee’s respective businesses. Proceeds from the raffle were collected for charity and, as a result, over a hundred dollars was donated directly to the Casey Cares Foundation – a local non-profit that hosts fun occasions for critically ill children and their families. We are so grateful to be able to donate money to this great cause!

Our President, Jen Sherlock, was out on the town this month! She was most recently seen at the Philly Style’s Best of Style Party! This glamorous night out was Alice In Wonderland themed and was held at the Kimmel Center. Guests were treated to dishes from 30 of Philly’s best restaurants.
