Event Recaps:
On Sunday, November 10, AFL China made history by hosting the first ever professional football game in China. The game, held at Beijing’s iconic Capital Indoor Stadium, attracted nearly 10,000 eager Chinese fans, many of whom were experiencing the sport for the first time in their lives. Players for this special exhibition game were selected from AFL teams in the United States and divided into East and West All-Star squads. In the end, Philadelphia Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh led the East All-Star team to a 69-52 victory over the West All-Star Team. According to China Daily and Xinhua, the debut of American Football in China recieved “rave reviews”. A broadcast of this game will air on CBS Sports on Saturday, December 7 at 9 pm. On Monday, November 11, Jenna Communications president Jennifer Sherlock attended 94 WIP Sports Radio’s Eagles Radio Network Luncheon at Parx Casino. Jen had an opportunity to meet Eagles greats like Gary Cobb, Seth Joyner, Bill Bergey and coach Dick Vermeil as well as fans who bleed green as much as she does.
On Saturday, November 16, Post Brothers Apartments hosted a PAWS adoption event at its Goldtex property. Guests had an opportunity to meet a number of available cats and dogs that would make welcome additions to their families, and also learned about ways they could volunteer at PAWS. The Hair O’ The Dog hosted Carnaval: A Night Filled with Desire at Vanity Night Club on Saturday, November 23 to celebrate the road to its 20th annual black tie gala. The stunning Jewelz dancers brought flair to the club that rivaled Rio itself, and Hair O’ The Dog founder, DJ Dan Cronin, supplied the beats for the night. The fun didn’t stop there, as our very own Jennifer Sherlock made a special guest bartending appearance. Looking ahead, Jenna Communications’ president Jennifer Sherlock will present at the US Youth Soccer Workshop on January 16. This workshop is part of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Convention, which is being held in Philadelphia for 2014. Jen will present Scoring Goals with Social Media: An Inside Look at Promoting Effectively to teach coaches how they can better use social media to target potential players.
