New Client Announcement:

We are happy to announce that we will be working with Dhairya Pujara, a Philadelphia based entrepreneur who is making a global impact. Pujara founded the Ycenter, an international immersive learning program designed to help students create an impact in the world through the advancement of technology. Jenna Communications will help secure publicity for Ycenter so Pujara can show how his program makes a difference by helping third world countries. Visit www.y-center.org to learn more or connect with the organization on Facebook and Twitter.

We also want to welcome The International Interior Design Association (Pennsylvania/New Jersey/Delaware Chapter) to the Jenna Communications family. After 20 years and counting, IIDA continues to create a niche for the most talented and visionary Interior Design professionals. The Jenna Communications team will help promote its upcoming Product Parade event. Visit www.iida.org to learn more about the association.

New Faces:

Courtney Annis is a senior at Chestnut Hill College majoring in Psychology and Communications. Courtney was a member of the Chestnut Hill Women’s Soccer team (2010-2014) and a current writer for her school newspaper, “The Griffin”. After her second knee surgery and unable to play for this fall’s season, she decided to get her foot in the door and start her career in PR. Upon graduation, Courtney hopes to land her dream job in Corporate/Entertainment PR. Although Courtney is upset she couldn’t participate in one last season with her team she is excited to start her career and bring lots of energy and personality to the Jenna Communications team!

Leslie Smith is a senior at Temple University majoring in journalism with a specialization in Spanish. Journalism gives me the opportunity to write, teach, and express my admiration for nature. I also get to incorporate my favorite hobby, which is traveling. I was born and raised in the City of Brotherly Love, but I have traveled to 12 states and three continents. My goal is to visit all 50 U.S. states and all seven continents. (Maybe six; I’m still debating Antarctica.) I am extremely excited to be a part of the Jenna Communications family. I’m looking forward to networking, serving clients and getting hands-on event planning experience. Stop by Jenna Communications headquarters to say Hola.

Event Recaps:

On Saturday, September 6, CareSTAT Urgent Care held its first annual CareSTAT Fun Run 5K. The Fun Run raised awareness for childhood cancer and proceeds went to Alex’s Lemonade Stand. This event, planned by Jenna Communications, featured a moon bounce, celebrity dunk tank, face painting and more. We would like to thank all of our sponsors, including Parx Casino, GEICO Local Office and Adam Mechanical. We’d like to give a special shout out to 6abc for covering the event and host Joe Staszak of 97.5 The Fanatic for taking the plunge in the celebrity dunk tank. Catch additional coverage of the race from NBC 10.

Jenna Communications supported the 10th Annual Chef’s Dinner for PAWS held on Monday, September 15 at Lincoln Financial Field. The night was full of food, fun and excitement. The city’s best chefs created a three course food and wine pairing. All proceeds benefited PAWS’ newest Adoption Center and Spray/Neuter and Wellness Clinic.

On Wednesday, September 17 Jenna Communications president, Jennifer Sherlock accompanied Parx Casino to the Second Annual POPS Ball. This black tie gala, held at the Hyatt at the Bellevue, benefitted the Philadelphia Pops so they can continue to entertain Philadelphians of all ages for years to come.

Agency & Client Updates:

Erin Ritter of Casey Cares Foundation made her Philly media debut with the ever-jovial crew on Fox 29 Good Day. She spoke about Casey Cares’ mission to provide enriching programs to critically ill children and their families throughout the entire year. Sometimes they go to the circus, to the zoo or have pajama parties. Did you know there is a Superman logo on the shirt? This is very symbolic because the organization views every Casey Cares child as a super hero. Visit their website to learn how you can get involved, and check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

No Dog Gets Left Behind entered the Greens for Good Salad Recipe Contest hosted by Newman’s Own. The charity had to share an original salad creation using their favorite Newman’s Own salad dressing for a chance to win $35,000. No Dog Gets Left Behind’s submission, made possible by local chef Alex Garfinkle of AG Catering, features Newman’s Own Lite Cranberry Walnut dressing. Get the whole recipe HERE.

On Tuesday, September 16, the Jenna Communications team took a field trip with Casey Cares Foundation to the Baltimore Zoo. Additionally, the organization has more exciting news—it launched a new program titled “Hammy’s Heart”. This initiative offers struggling families grocery store gift cards to assist them with food bills while they care for a critically ill child.

We had NHL alum Brian Propp stop by Jenna Communications headquarters. The former left-winger for the Philadelphia Flyers is now the Director of Strategic Relationships for Archetype Advisors LLC. Thank you for the visit. It was a pleasure sharing business ideas with you!
