“Losing Control” for Philadelphia Theatrical Release

What if you could use science to find true love?

PHILADELPHIA, May 15, 2012 – Jenna Communications announced today that a local writer and director is bringing her romantic comedy to town this Friday, May 18 at the Landmark Ritz at the Bourse.

Join us as Valerie Weiss, a Philadelphia native who currently resides in Los Angeles, shares with us her film LOSING CONTROL. She recently won the Top Female Filmmaker of 2011 Award from the Chicago Comedy Film Festival.

Weiss crafted the movie from the notes she kept reflecting her own experiences in graduate school. While earning a Ph-D in X-ray Crystallography at Harvard Medical School, she learned not only about science, but also about love. This is what inspired her to create the film and bring it here to the City of Brotherly Love.

“While I was in grad school I wondered what would happen if a woman in her 20’s could understand science and use it to her advantage in gaining control of her love life,” Weiss explains. “It made me wonder what if you could use your brain to make sure you have an everlasting romance.”

LOSING CONTROL reflects just that. It tells the story of a young scientific genius who not only is striving to produce results from her long-term experiment, but also from her long-term boyfriend. By performing the scientific method on more than just her research, she does everything she can to prove that her boyfriend is “the one.” The cast members (including Miranda Kent and Reid Scott) are witty and talented and deliver Weiss’s dialogue exquisitely.

The film will be playing at the Landmark Ritz at the Bourse every day May 18-24 at 1:00PM, 3:00PM, 5:15PM, 7:30PM, and 9:45PM. Weiss will be holding a Q&A session after all weekend screenings and after the 7:30PM shows Friday through Wednesday.  Cast members Jamison Yang, who plays Chen Wa, and Science Cheerleader Erin Donnelly will be at the 7:30PM show on Friday for the Q&A session.

For more details visit www.losingcontrolmovie.com.

If interested in receiving a press pass for the film, please RSVP to Jennifer Sherlock at jsherlock@jennacommunications.com with the subject line “Press Pass.”

MONTGOMERY MALL CELEBRATES MOMS

BY SUPPORTING NATIONAL MOM’S NITE OUT

Montgomery Mall teams up with Diet Coke, Dove Body Wash, Little Black Dress Vodka, StriVectin, and VISIT FLORIDA, to host free events for moms

Montgomeryville, PA, May 10, 2012 Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), the world’s leading retail real estate company, is once again making its properties the place to be this spring as mothers across the country and in Bucks County celebrate national Mom’s Nite Out on Thursday, May 10.

At Montgomery Mall, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in an evening filled with pampering refreshments, entertainment, fashion and beauty services, all focused on rewarding Moms. A recent survey of 1,312 respondents conducted by BSM Media indicated the majority of mothers (58 percent) would like to spend a night out with a group of friends.

“We believe that moms deserve “A Nite Off,” so Simon malls are hosting a free event where they can enjoy their favorite destination in a new way,” said Lisa Bennett, Assistant Vice President of Business Development at Simon Property Group.

Simon has teamed up with several prestigious brands and organizations including Diet Coke, Dove Body Wash, Little Black Dress Vodka, StriVectin, and VISIT FLORIDA to celebrate Moms and their many contributions to the world. The fun starts at 5:00 pm and goes until 8:00 pm. All event activities are free and open to moms of all ages. These events, thanks to an alliance with Little Black Dress Vodka, are helping raise awareness for Dress for Success, an international not-for-profit organization offering services designed to help underprivileged women find jobs and remain employed.

“Montgomery Mall is the perfect venue to thank mothers and celebrate all they do,” said Jim Malervy, Acting Director of Mall Marketing for Montgomery Mall. “Our recent survey with BSM Media indicated that one-third of moms go to the mall to escape their daily routines.”

“Little Black Dress Vodka is excited to support Mom’s Nite Out as we identify with hard working moms and their need for a night out,” said Laura Webb, Little Black Dress Vodka Brand Director.

Simon Malls National Mom’s Nite Out event attendees will have the chance to win one of several prizes and help support Dress for Success’ commitment to women’s achievements simultaneously:

Originally organized by Maria Bailey, CEO of BSM Media, author and Mom Talk Radio host, National Mom’s Nite Out unites social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mom bloggers and networks in giving moms a well-deserved night off. Bailey brought the first National Mom’s Nite Out to life after watching moms take care of everyone else on Mother’s Day, but never themselves.

“National Mom’s Nite Out is one of the largest cooperative efforts of Mommy groups, Mom-focused organizations and corporations, bloggers and vloggers – all coming together for one great night in support of motherhood,” Bailey said.

About Little Black Dress Vodka

The little black dress is an iconic symbol of simple elegance—every woman’s easy choice for looking good and feeling confident. Just like its namesake, Little Black Dress Vodka is designed specifically to capture the essence of what women want in a cocktail: fuss-free, burn-free, and flavorful, with an eye toward calorie count. Developed entirely by a team of savvy ladies – from concept and product innovation, brand management to legal, production and finance – this is an industry rarity. In addition to its classic offering, Little Black Dress Vodka’s three deliciously natural flavors – pineapple honey, blueberry pomegranate, and black cherry-vanilla – are only 90 calories per 1.5 oz serving. Available nationally, each 750ml bottle retails for $13.99. More than $140,000 has been raised for women’s charities by the Little Black Dress brand since 2007; we are grateful to Cynthia Rowley for her generous Mom’s Nite Out dress donation. Responsible Drinking Is Always In Style. LITTLE BLACK DRESS is a registered trademark ©2012 of Brown-Forman, Louisville, KY.
