New Client Announcement: Jenna Communications is proud to announce that we have added The Whitebrier in Avalon, N.J. as a new client partner. With its bar, restaurant and banquet facility, The Whitebrier is one of the most popular dining/entertainment establishments at the Jersey Shore. We will create email marketing campaigns for The Whitebrier to help them stay better connected with their customers. New Addition: April Andrews is a graduate of Northampton Community College with an associate’s degree in Communication Studies and a current senior at Temple University majoring in Public Relations. As a member of PRSSA she works with a team to coordinate the majority of Temple’s events. April is also a member of the Temple Outdoors Club where she helps organize trips and group meetings. Her interest in PR started when she worked as a team leader on outside marketing for an energy efficiency company. While there, she had to develop different marketing strategies and train other employees on better ways to interact with current and future customers. When April is not working or in school, she enjoys traveling and exploring any place she can. While she loves the city, April considers herself an outdoors girl that prefers to enjoy all that nature has to offer.

Event Recaps: On Thursday, June 6, BC Processing held its annual Technology Expo at the Greenview Inn at Eastlynn Golf Course in Vineland, N.J. The event welcomed business owners from a variety of industries and provided them the opportunity to learn about how BC Processing’s full portfolio of technology and merchant services can drive value for companies. Attendees were treated to technology demonstrations that applied to retail, hospitality, professionals, nonprofits, service providers and healthcare providers. With the help of Jenna Communications, The Delaware Valley Stroke Council hosted the 19th Annual Dr. Howard Mazer Memorial Strides for Stroke 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, June 9. The event was held to raise money for stroke survivors and caregivers as well as to continue region-wide stroke prevention programs, educational events and screenings. Nearly 1,000 runners and walkers participated. Many thanks to all Strides for Stroke sponsors, including Parx Casino, Philly Pretzel Factory, ShopRite, Hahnemann Hospital, EMS Entertainment, J&J Snack Foods, Herr’s, Weston Fitness and media partner NBC 10. On Saturday, June 22 Judge VIP (Veterans in Professional) Careers and the Philadelphia Soul hosted the inaugural Army Veterans vs. Navy Veterans Arena Football Game and veterans Speed Career Networking Event. The mission of the event was to help veterans find employment. All branches of the military were invited. Jenna Communications was an exhibitor at the networking event along with Suburau of America, AlliedBarton, TD Bank and many more. The veterans arena game went down to the wire, and the Navy Veterans team came out on top in a 40-38 victory. Post Brothers Apartments sold its first apartment complex, Copley Manor, a 92-unit apartment building in the West Mount Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia, for roughly $6.3 million. The property, located at 121 W. Tulpehocken St., is already 96 percent occupied. The company bought Copley Manor in 2007 for $2.9 million and spent an additional $1.75 million on modern upgrades.
