New Client & Partnership Announcement:
Jenna Communications is excited to announce its partnership with the first annual South Jersey Beer Week coming this fall, November 6-14! This event is something that local beer drinkers have been craving for years, and allows bar owners and patrons the chance to bond over a hops-filled week of fun. Whether you own a local bar or restaurant and are interested in hosting an event for SJBW, or you’re a beer drinker looking for a pub crawl or tasting, there is truly something for everyone. We have already received interest from several local establishments and we can’t wait to see the South Jersey community united over their love for craft beer! Some big things are in store for Jenna Communications clients this fall– which is why we are excited to announce the brand new expansion of AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care! A new location is planned to serve patients in West Chester, and is on track to open October 1st. Check out its FB page here. And Just in Time for Fall… Get ready for South Philly SausageFest Coming September 2015! The fest is hosted by the Newbold Community Center Development Corporation as a fundraiser for its Street Cleaning Program. AFC Doctors Express Urgent Care is also sponsoring this event. The full day event will include sausage-themed food and beverages from Philadelphia regional breweries. Don’t worry if you can’t find a babysitter – SausageFest is kid friendly! The CDC is providing children’s activities along with arts and crafts. Bring your appetites on September 12 from 12 p.m.- 8 p.m. You can purchase tickets here! We hope to see you there! Breaking News! The families of Casey Cares took to the studios of 6ABC Action News for a special tour. Casey Cares provides programs to support critically ill children and their families in the Mid-Atlantic area. On August 27th, families got an inside look at everything that goes into a 6ABC Actions News broadcast. Even though they specialize in current events, there’s plenty of history behind this Philadelphia station. As far back as the 1950’s, locals put on their dancing shoes to watch “Bandstand” when it premiered on 6ABC’s original station, WFIL-TV. The news powerhouse then rolled out the revolutionary “Action News” format in the 1970’s before The Walt Disney Company purchased the station, making it one of the eight top news stations in the country. Fans are bleeding Green after Last Weekend’s 39-26 Win Over the Packers…. and Casey Cares Families helped kick off the Eagles’ season!
Casey Cares kids huddled up with the Eagles on the first day of training camp this year! The afternoon of August 7 was filled with fun, family and football for Casey Cares members at the Novacare Complex. Families watched the practice and had access to the VIP tent throughout the day. The event kicked off with a high-five from each player as they entered the field, and ended with an opportunity to hang out with the team during an autograph signing session. From football to hockey, Jenna Communications President, Jennifer Sherlock seen below interviewed NHL Flyer great, Bob Kelly, and hockey lover Alan Thicke of the 80’s sitcom “Growing Pains.” Thicke is also the father of Robin Thicke, a famous musician known for his song, Blurred Lines. Both men played in the celebrity hockey tournament after the Keystone Firefighter Conference‘s final day. Firefighters beat the heat with celebrity hockey game at the Keystone Firefighter Conference
Alan Thicke, Bob Kelly, and former Flyers player Riley Cote are just a few of the personalities who took to the ice this month for the celebrity and first responder hockey game during the Keystone Firefighter Conference. It’s not everyday you get to hit the ice with some stars, and Jenna Communications was there! The conference kicked off on August 6th and lead into four jam-packed days of training, hockey, and exhibitions. All proceeds from the event went to the All Hands Working Charity, which supports the health and wellness of firefighters. 6ABC Action News and PHL 17 added some excellent coverage for the event and allowed viewers and inside look at this star-studded conference. Registration is now open for the 9th Annual PAWS Mutt Strut! On Saturday, October 24, Philadelphia will once again go to the dogs! Join us as we walk the scenic route at The Navy Yard to raise funds to save Philadelphia’s homeless animals. It’s more than just a Strut: it’s a fall festival and adoption event with live music, food trucks, and fun activities for the whole family!

Public relations isn’t always glamorous—but sometimes, it sure looks that way! President Jennifer Sherlock first posed for Philly.com’s Sexy Singles back in 2011. Now, she’s been chosen for the All-Star edition, which is a collection of the top twelve singles to grace the magazine since 2003.
Philadelphia Magazine hosts Best of Philly Party This was a party you definitely did not want to miss! Jenna Communications President, Jennifer Sherlock stopped by with Philadelphia’s finest gathered in Dilworth Park on August 7 to celebrate The Best of Philly winners. The night included food, cocktails, and of course dancing under the stars. Jen hung out with some of her favorites like Mike Jerrick of Fox 29’s Good Day, fellow Sexy Single Kate Beaver, and comedian Jamie Kennedy whom she spotted at the after party.
Diner en Blanc & Sexy Singles Party
One of Jen’s favorite nights is Diner en Blanc. This year the surprise pop-up picnic was held at the Navy Yard in South Philly. 4500 people danced and dined in the rain. The bottom left photo of the ladies dressed mostly in black with a pop of blue is from the Sexy Singles party hed at Parx Casino this year. The event brought together new and old sexy singles for a fun time. Entertainment editor of the Daily News, Jenice Armstrong puts together the column every year. On Wednesday, August 26, Michelle Dawn Mooney of Middays with Michelle, a show on WPG Talk Radio 1450 #MWMDM interviewed Jen on how adults can shape up their branding on social media now that it’s time for kids to go back to school.
