NEW KIDGITS PLAY AREA DEBUTS AT QUAKER BRIDGE MALL
– Part of Extensive Renovation along with Arrival of 40 New Stores and Tenants –
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ, Jan. 25, 2013—Simon Property Group, Inc. (NYSE:SPG), the world’s leading retail real estate company announced today that a new Kidgits Play Area for children has opened at its Quaker Bridge Mall property in Lawrenceville, NJ.
Area children and their families are sure to enjoy the new Kidgits Play Area which features five state-of-the-art play fixtures along with interactive elements such as an electric piano. The play area also has several added conveniences including a stroller parking area, cubbies to store shoes and other belongings, and cushioned seating. Electronics such as cell phones, tablets and laptops can be charged at stations in the play area, and a wifi hotspot allows visitors to gain Internet access. Single stream recycling containers have been positioned around the play area as a part of Simon Property Group’s large-scale green initiatives.
“With its interactive features and all the fun areas to explore, the new Kidgits Play Area will become a popular attraction for our young visitors,” said Marian Kapp, director of mall marketing. “Its additional amenities will help families stay organized while relaxing during shopping trips.”
The new Kidgits Play Area is part of an extensive renovation project at Quaker Bridge Mall that also includes the opening of a number of new stores and restaurants. H&M, Pandora, Michael Kors, Teavana, Sephora and The Cheesecake Factory restaurant are part of 40 new stores and restaurants set to join the updated mix of tenants.
Another recently-completed element of the overall renovation includes new restrooms, located on the upper level, Sears Wing. The new restrooms feature upgraded amenities such as stainless steel furnishings, granite countertops, touch-less faucets, soap dispensers, and hand dryers. More accessible stalls have been added as well as a separate family restroom with a nursing lounge for those with young children. Quaker Bridge Mall’s new restrooms are fitted with water conserving toilets and sinks as well as lighting sensors that illuminate the space upon entering.
