CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN ON BUCKS COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE HEALTHCARE CENTER
– Lifestyle Healthcare Group to host groundbreaking ceremony for new facility –
BENSALEM, Pa., Oct. 21, 2013 – Lifestyle Healthcare Group will hold a groundbreaking ceremony to commemorate the start of construction on its comprehensive healthcare center on Thurs., Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the center’s future location on 1 New Road, Bensalem, Pa. 19020 across from the state police barracks. A cocktail reception will follow at Parxgrille in Parx Casino at 4 p.m.
Once completed, the Lifestyle Comprehensive Healthcare Center will consist of a 200,000 sq. ft. facility that will house a full portfolio of medical specialties including a women’s center, orthopedics, general surgery, ophthalmology, cancer treatment, plastic surgery and more. In addition to the comprehensive healthcare center, an adjacent skilled nursing facility will open where patients can effectively recover from surgical procedures. Along with the nursing facility, a separate sports complex on the property will give patients the opportunity to maximize training, performance and rehabilitation.
Designed by GS Architects, the Lifestyle Comprehensive Healthcare Center features a thoughtful, upscale layout for both physicians and patients and can deliver the highest level of quality care. A key specialty for the center includes eight fully equipped operating suites fit for a wide variety of surgical procedures. P. Agnes will manage all construction on the center and will utilize the latest smart building concepts. Construction on the center is expected to be completed by early 2015.

The Lifestyle Comprehensive Healthcare Center consists of a group of physician and private owners and delivers each individual practice access to cutting-edge equipment and technology. Additionally, the center will use the latest electronic medical record technology so that all physicians on the premises can easily access a patient’s full medical history. For its oncology department, the center has signed a letter of intent with Varian, makers of TrueBeam, which delivers the latest in cancer treatment. TrueBeam allows for more accurate and successful cancer treatments, and is designed to address complex cases in the head, neck, liver, lungs and prostate. As an additional benefit, TrueBeam provides more comfort and flexibility for patients with its open architecture.
