HAIR O’ THE DOG IS READY TO ROAR WITH DJ HAVANA BROWN
PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 16, 2014 – Hair O’ The Dog, Philadelphia’s Swankiest Black Tie Affair presented by Parx Casino, will commemorate 20 years on Saturday, January 18 with its biggest and boldest celebration to date, featuring a DJ set and live performance by DJ Havana Brown, who recently graced the pages of Cosmopolitan Magazine. Havana, best known for her smash hit “We Run the Night” featuring Pitbull, will take the event to a whole new level this year as Hair O’ The Dog sets an all-new precedent for the gala with its first ever performance by a triple-platinum artist.
This highly anticipated event will take place at the newly refashioned Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel beginning at 8 p.m. with a VIP press preview. Confirmed to be in attendance for this year’s extravaganza is Alicia DiMichele, star of “Mob Wives: New Blood” and owner of Addiction Boutique which styled the Hair O’ The Dog’s team for its current ad campaign. In addition, Cara McCollum, Miss New Jersey 2013, will make a special appearance along with Philadelphia’s favorite funny man, Joe Conklin, who will give guest a sneak-peek of what’s in store for his First Annual Philadelphia Sports Roast featuring former Eagle Terrell Owens on February 20, produced in part by Hair O’ The Dog’s Metrospect Events. Philebrities Julie Dorenbos and Susie Celek of Skin Palette will be dancing the night away and are who to thank for the bronzed beauties that will be getting down on the dance floor.
This “Gatsby-Inspired” evening will be complete with top shelf libations, extravagant décor, an exquisite cake from the award-winning Potito’s Bakery and top-notch entertainment. “Let the Good Times Roar” and wag your tails off to sounds by Philly Hot List “Best DJ”, Perry Angelozzi, Hair O’ the Dog founder/DJ, Dan Cronin, and just added to the line-up, Philly’s favorite, DJ Bizz. As the evening roars on, additional electrifying performances will include the band The Business, Bryen Boyle of Mr. Greengenes and Philly’s own Jade Starling, who will perform her new single “Insomniak.”
Hair O’ The Dog always helps a deserving charity, and this year is no exception. A portion of the proceeds from this year’s gala will benefit the Claddagh Fund, founded by Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys. James Lynch, who also is a member of the Dropkick Murphys, will give a special presentation on behalf of the organization. The Claddagh Fund uses a grassroots approach to help raise money for underfunded nonprofits across the country that assist vulnerable, disenfranchised children, veterans and those recovering from addictions.
For those who want to ‘party til the bark of dawn’, the official Hair O’ The Dog After Party will kick off at G Lounge, Philadelphia’s sophisticated nightlife destination. Admission and transportation to the after party is complimentary to all ticket holders; however, space is limited on a first come first served basis.
