From Profit to Non-Profit, Lisa Dent Makes History Again

– Every Woman and Girl Have a Voice. We Help Them Find it, Embrace it, & Amplify it…with CONFIDENCE-

PHILADELPHIA, April 28, 2015– The time is now to empower women with the voice and influence to create positive change all over the world. The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc. is a global organization with the ability to provide a comprehensive foundation for the “life tool kit” needed to create such change. At the heart of their mission is Founder & President, Lisa L. Dent, M.S H.Ed, who believes it is time to change the dialogue and increase our actions.

Lisa is committed to helping individuals realize their potential. Her ability to assist, empower and support people with action, have been built by many years of diverse corporate and entrepreneurial experiences. She has created and executed many health education workshops for schools and various communities both civic and nonprofit. She has also been a featured speaker, interviewee and writer regarding her advocacy for women in business, community and corporate health. This experience allows her to assist women in transition through The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc.

Her vision for The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc. is to be a “well” of strength as they look to find their voice and take ownership of their lives. She is creating this “well” through empowerment programs created by women for women. These programs include, Health education and advocacy, The Entrepreneur Boot Camp, International Outreach and American Sheroes: Women Veterans Only.

Along with programs to empower women, she has created programs to help girls harness their power and voice as well. This includes the Girls’ Empowerment Zone: Summer Experience in which girls ages 7-13 develop a firm foundation for relationship building, leadership, entrepreneurship and global understanding within a healthy environment. Financial assistance is available to girls looking to attend these valuable and diverse summer workshops.

Lisa created the foundation with the help of International Marketing/Communications Consultant, Karina Alvela, along with founding board members, Marilyn Tinari, Ed.D, former head of Middle School for Girls at Springside Chestnut Hill Academy, Mary Ann Murtha, Chief Retail Officer at Huntingdon Valley Bank, and Jennifer Sherlock, President of Jenna Communications LLC.

The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc. continuously hosts events to get local communities excited about the growth their girls and women. On Friday, May 8, from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at the HYATT house Philadelphia/Plymouth Meeting, join The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc. in raising funds and awareness to equip women with the opportunity to take ownership of their lives through the available programs. To celebrate the success of The Women’s Empowerment Series, Inc., the Snowflake Ball will be held at the Blue Bell Country Club on December 4, 2015. More information will be released at a later date.
