Upcoming Events:

For the third year in a row, Jenna Communications is hard at work planning the Delaware Valley Stroke Council’s 20th annual Strides for Stroke 5k on Sunday, June 8. We’re working to make this the biggest Strides for Stroke yet, and have many exciting events planned leading up to race day. If you attend the Broad Street Run Expo on May 2 & 3, look for our booth in the Convention Center. We still need volunteers to help with promoting Strides for Stroke at the Expo. We’re also excited to be parterning with a Yoga instructor to hold the first ever Stretch for Stroke event. Stay tuned for a date and more details.

Additionally, Strides for Stroke will have a table on May 6, just in time for Stroke Alert Day, at the Fairmount Running Club’s Art Museum Steps workout. Volunteers also are still needed for Strides for Stroke to help with logistics, fundraising, donation requests, stuffing goodie bags, registration and refreshments. We are also looking for local businesses to serve as sponsors for the race, as well as to donate food items for the runners, and to encourage their employees to run! If you’d like to volunteer or sponsor this event, contact Jen at jsherlock@jennacommunications.com. To sign up for the race or for more information visit www.phillystroke.org. Don’t forget stroke is the leading cause of adult disability as well as the third leading cause of death in adults. By participating, you can help the Delaware Valley Stroke Council continue its stroke prevention efforts.
