2011 Red Ball Presented by ModSpace Broke the Bank for Charity

There was a lot of red at this year’s Red Ball held at the Please Touch Museum.  More than a thousand people attended the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA) Chapter’s 12th annual event.  Guests enjoyed fine food samplings by Philly’s hottest chefs and voted on their favorite restaurant.  This year’s winner was The Bistro in Our Town located in Exton, PA.

People bid on a silent auction with many luxury items, and danced the night away to music from CTO World Entertainment Productions.  My favorite part of the whole night was taking a ride on the carousel in the VIP room. You’re never too old to ride a carousel:)

The event raised $285,000, the most ever for any SEPA Chapter single day event.

All proceeds from The Red Ball directly benefit Red Cross House – The Center for Disaster Recovery, the SEPA Chapter’s one-of-a-kind short-term housing facility in West Philadelphia where hundreds of local families every year begin their recovery from fires, floods, and other disasters.
