VETROCK2013 HONORS VIETNAM VETS WITH OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVAL

-Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Bader Field – Atlantic City, NJ – Gates Open at 10:00 am-

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, May 28, 2013 – If you’ve ever considered the unjust treatment that our nation’s Vietnam Veterans received when they returned from their military service,VETROCK2013 will provide you the perfect opportunity to do your part to ‘right the wrong’ and give those men and women the belated but highly deserving “Welcome Home You Never Received.”

VetRock2013 Producer and veteran’s advocate Mike Merlino has assembled an enviable lineup of entertainment for an all day, family style event on the grounds of Atlantic City’s Bader Field.  Beginning at 10:00 a.m., VetRock promises to be an all-day, festival style rock & roll show featuring bands from the Vietnam era, local bands as well as great food, arts & crafts and activities.

Lt. Colonel Oliver North, USMC (retired) will be the keynote speaker and will be available following his address for photos and book signings.

Continuous live music includes a stellar line-up of Vietnam Era bands including Mark Farner (founder & lead vocalist for the Grand Funk Railroad) and The NRG Band, Mytch Ryder & The Detroit Wheels, The Soul Survivors, The Buckinghams, The Trammps, Steve Stone, Gypsy Asylum, The Bob Sterling Band and the Jeremiah Hunter Band. Entertainment host will be Jersey’s own Joe Piscopo who will serve as the VetRock2013 MC as well as performing with his own band.

Festival attendees will enjoy a 200 vehicle classic car show courtesy of Nostalgic Knights and be able to meet Miss New Jersey, 2012, Lindsey Petrosh.

Tickets are only $25.00 each and free for children under 10 years of age. They may be purchased in advance at wisercharitable.orgor at the door the day of the event. All 100 percent “totally disabled veterans” (with a valid DD2765 card or equivalent) will be admitted free of charge.

Bring your lawn chairs, your picnic blanket, the entire family and join the VetRock2013 committee in saluting those who have served in the United States Military with a special “Welcome Home” tribute to the Vietnam Veterans.

VetRock is a Wiser Charitable Event. Profits from the event will go to veteran’s charities in honor of all Vietnam Veterans, past and present.

Do your part to insure that everyone that wears the uniform has our support and gratitude!
