ALEX HOLLEY WILL DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY FOR AUTISM AT THE 24TH ANNUAL HAIR O’ THE DOG

Award-Winning Journalist to Join Forces with the Official DJ Sixers at Philly’s Most Glamorous Bash

PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 3, 2018 – On Saturday, January 20, 2018, Alex Holley co-anchor of Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia, will host the 24th annual Hair O’ The Dog at the exclusive Hilton Hotel at Penn’s Landing. Alex’s vibrant and charming personality will greet ticket holders at this red-carpet soirée that has been voted best event in Philly and a premier Philadelphia event of the decade. Hair O’ The Dog always benefits a local deserving charity, and this year is no different. The Center for Autism, the oldest Autism treatment center in the country is the beneficiary for this year’s extravaganza.

Hair O’ The Dog organizers are also elated to announce that the official Disc Jockey of the Philadelphia 76ers, DJ GHOST will hype up the crowd and heat up the Hair O’ The Dog stage for Alex, and this year’s exciting line up of entertainment, including internationally acclaimed dance music sensation Cash Cash. DJ GHOST hits the court and performs energizing mixes and beats to basketball fans alike, appearing at every Sixers home game.  Ghost has been releasing his catchy remixes for over eighteen years, touring with many platinum and gold selling artists, such as Snoop Dog, and VASSY, who performed at the 23rd Annual Hair O’ the Dog.

“We couldn’t be more flattered that Alex Holley is hosting our 24th Annual event. Alex inspires the Philadelphia community day-in and day-out with her enticing interests to give back and having her join us in our efforts for the Center for Autism this year is truly an honor. Alex, together with DJ GHOST of the Sixers, really elevates the magnitude of excitement for this year and we can’t wait for them to ignite the Hilton at Penn’s Landing alongside our featured entertainment, Cash Cash,” says Dan Cronin, founder of Hair O’ The Dog.

Year after year, this swanky affair, continues to send the glamour quotient up — way up into the stratosphere.  The most fashionably garbed at this year’s event will have the chance to be named “Hair O’ The Dog’s Best Dressed” as host Alex Holley will hand-select the winners. Various prizes from HOD sponsors valued at over $1000, will be awarded and Holley, a Philly favorite on every red carpet, will add to the sky-high dazzle and elegance herself.

“I am honored to host this year’s Hair O’ The Dog, and join their efforts in supporting and raising awareness for the oldest autism treatment center in the country,” says Alex Holley. “I’m also looking forward to welcoming Cash Cash to the stage, alongside the official DJ of the Philadelphia 76ers. After experiencing the electrifying beats of DJ GHOST at every Sixers home game, I am thrilled to see what he brings from the court to the dance floor.”

Live sushi models, gourmet Asian infused fare and decor await partygoers as 2018 is the Year of the Dog in the Chinese zodiac. Hair O’ The Dog is incorporating this vivacious theme into this years’ experience, and partying starts at 8 p.m. for Very Important Pooches and Top Dog Bottle Service Attendees. About Hair O’ The Dog

Hair O’ The Dog was founded in 1994 by longtime friends Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro, who are also the co-founders of Chorus Communications, a Technology Consulting firm located in Old City Philadelphia. The first Hair O’ The Dog was held at the former Tiki Club in King of Prussia. At the party, they decided that their love of fun, combined with their whip-smart business sense, could generate income for non-profits through fundraising. From this thinking, Hair O’ The Dog was born. The founders were thrilled with the original 100 person turn out and each year since, this glamorous-gala has grown tremendously in both size and prominence. Today, the event attracts thousands of partygoers and is considered the longest-running black-tie affair in the country. The event attracts not only local but national celebrities, athletes, and media personalities. Past attendees include but are not limited to; NBC’s Meteorologist Sheena Parveen, Tony Bruno, Comedian Joe Conklin, former Governor Ed Rendell, Mob Wives Alicia DiMichele along with multiple Philadelphia Eagles players and Cheerleaders, Sixers and Flyers players. Held each year at an exclusive Philadelphia venue, a portion of the event proceeds are given to various local charities such as: Big Brothers and Big Sisters, The Garden of Reflection (PA’s official 9-11 memorial), The National Constitution Center, Habitat for Humanity, Project H.O.M.E., Friends of Memorial Hall Fund, the Sunshine Foundation, The Great Guy Group, The Bethesda Project, Friends Are By Your Side, The Claddagh Fund, THON, and Bianca’s Kids.
