Can’t Seem to Kick the Cigarette Habit? You Can Now!
“Smoking is Not an Addiction”

PHILADELPHIA, May 31, 2011 — A Lafayette Hill-based hypnosis center located outside of Philadelphia announces today that smoking is NOT an addiction, even though experts contend that nicotine is the most addictive substance.  Can’t seem to kick the habit even with the patch, nicotine gum, pills, or even cold turkey?  Well, now the Plymouth Hypnosis Center is offering FREE screenings as proof to show people how they can really quit smoking.

Bryan Toder, a Certified Clinical Hypnotist has been trained and certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists and the American Board of Hypnotherapists. Each year, Bryan is re-certified and abides by the standards and ethics of the National Guild of Hypnotists.  Toder says smoking is NOT an addiction and that it is in fact just a habit.  Toder said, “My thinking about the ‘withdrawal symptoms’ that smokers seem to get is that they are really ‘breaking up’ in a relationship with their cigarettes.  For instance, when you break up, you get: emotional, nervous, you can’t stop thinking about the other person, and it sounds like someone quitting smoking.  They’re not ‘withdrawal symptoms’; they are breaking up with their cigarettes!”

Although one local Philadelphia doctor adamantly disagrees with Toder’s statement.  Keren Lerner, MD, MPH said, “Most mothers to be are willing to do anything for their baby however we see in our practice that smoking tends to be the hardest thing to give up. Even when Moms learn that smoking is associated with birth defects, prematurity, and underweight babies, they still find themselves often unable to quit. Smoking has all of the characteristics of addiction: tolerance may develop, patients persist in smoking despite problems that may develop, and there are withdrawal symptoms when attempting to quit.”
Toder adds, “When a woman is pregnant, many times they do STOP smoking for the duration of the pregnancy. Then, after they give birth they have a party, have a drink and a cigarette again because the drink is the TRIGGER!  No one erased the trigger from 9 months ago and they begin smoking again. “

Disclaimer: I am not a doctor and this is in no way medical advice. You can believe me or not. The fact that I have over 700 written testimonials in my office attesting to the FACT that they can and did quit smoking.  Please contact Bryan Toder at 610-397-1515 for more information.
