Casey Cares & NetCost Market Team Up For Surprise Of A Lifetime

Owner of Philly-based NetCost Market Andre Malkov teamed up with the Casey Cares Foundation, a local non-profit that hosts uplifting events for critically ill children and their families, for a fun yet simple surprise.

It was a hot Monday afternoon in July when the Roberson’s, a Casey Cares Foundation family, received an unexpected knock on their front door. On the other side, they would find CBS3 anchor Ukee Washington asking if he could come in to chat. The Roberson family is made up of Constance “Nana” Roberson and her three grandchildren, one of which suffers from a life-threatening kidney disease. Seeing Ukee surprised the family as he is the well-known anchor of CBS3’s “Brotherly Love,” but what they did not know is that there was more.

Enter Andre, co-owner of NetCost Market in Philadelphia, a gourmet grocery store that specializes in both local and European delicacies. He congratulated the family with a certificate that granted them free groceries for an entire year!

The Jenna Communications team is happy to support our clients in this amazing effort to help a family in need.
