HAIR O’ THE DOG UNLEASHES ITS LEGENDARY BLACK-TIE TO SUPPORT THON

“Get Your Bow-Tie and Hottest Dress Ready for the Best Event in Philly”

PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 5, 2016 – For 22 years, Hair O’ The Dog has reigned as Philadelphia’s most glamorous bash, continuing to set new precedents with headlining bands, top DJ’s, and live performances to create an unforgettable night! This year’s black tie affair, Deuces are Wild, presented by Sugar House Casino will take place on Saturday, January 16 at the Crystal Tea Room. Festivities will kick off at 8 p.m. with a VIP preview including top-shelf libations, a champagne bar, gourmet hors d’oeuvres, and extraordinary entertainment. Hair O’ The Dog has been voted “Best Event in Philly” over the past two years by the Philadelphia Nightlife Awards, and has some new wild nightlife experiences in store for this year.

From the moment partygoers walk through the doors, they will feel the passion of the evening as sensual body painted models greet guests in the “Jungleland” main ballroom. Attendees will rock out to sets performed by Go Go Gadget, a Philly favorite, who are now known on a National level. Hip-hop, EDM and funk jams will wow the crowd, and the band will infuse their epic “light-up drum show” into their performance.  Hair O’ The Dog welcomes Victoria Secret’s DJ, and D.C. native Sabeel Chohan to this award winning event.  Guests will also be treated to a special live performance by South Philly’s own Felicia Punzo.  Felicia recently topped the Billboard Dance Charts with her hit, “Sound My Heart Makes,” and will debut her new single, “How You Move” at this year’s gala.

Wag your tails off all night long to more beats by The Business, DJ’s Jason Weiss, and Mike Galioto. Hair O’ The Dog will take it back to the old school by transforming the atrium of the Crystal Tea Room into a “Flashback Fantasy” sponsored by Alteva Unified Communications. The room will be filled with throwback jams for VIP, bottle service and all access ticketholders.  And if that’s not enough, EDM’s bold and hypnotic style will heat up the “Dog House” as Philly’s finest pop bottles all night long.

Every year Hair O’ The Dog supports a deserving charity. This year, a portion of the proceeds will benefit THON, Penn State’s Dance Marathon, the largest student run philanthropy in the world. THON raises funds and awareness to fight pediatric cancer. Since its inception in 1977, THON has contributed more than $127 million to aid families caring for children with cancer as well as fund critical research.

Hair O’ The Dog doesn’t end at the Crystal Tea Room. The official after party will kick off at Voyeur Nightclub and run until 6 a.m. Admission to the after party is complimentary for all VIP, Bottle Service and All Access ticket holders and a complimentary continental breakfast will be served to all HOD attendees. Transportation will be provided to Voyeur Nightclub from the Crystal Tea Room in party buses courtesy of Luxury Limousine Service.

Ticket prices start at $120 for Hair O’ The Dog. To purchase tickets for the 22nd annual Hair O’ The Dog and see more of the sensation, visit http://hairothedog.com. About Hair O’ The Dog

Hair O’ The Dog was founded 22 years ago by longtime friends Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro. Dan and Rob are also the co-founders of Chorus Communications, a Technology Consulting firm located in Philadelphia. The first Hair O’ The Dog was held at the Tiki Club in King Of Prussia. At the party, they decided that their love of fun, combined with their whip-smart business sense, could generate income for non-profits through fundraising. From this thinking, Hair O’ The Dog was born. The founders were thrilled with the original 100 person turn out! Each year since, this glamorous-gala has grown tremendously in both size and prominence. Today, the event attracts thousands of partygoers and is considered the longest running black-tie affair in the country. The event attracts not only local but national celebrities, athletes, and media personalities. Past attendees include but are not limited to; NBC’s Meteorologist Sheena Parveen, Tony Bruno, Comedian Joe Conklin, former Governor Ed Rendell, Mob Wives Alicia DiMichele along with multiple Philadelphia Eagles, Cheerleaders, and Flyers. Held each year at an exclusive Philadelphia venue, a portion of the event proceeds are given to various local charities such as: Big Brothers, Big Sisters, The Garden of Reflection (PA’s official 9-11 memorial), The National Constitution Center, Habitat for Humanity, Project H.O.M.E., Friends of Memorial Hall Fund, the Sunshine Foundation, The Great Guy Group, The Bethesda Project, Friends Are By Your Side and The Claddagh Fund.
