Event Recaps:

After planning and prepping for months Hair O’ The Dog arrived! The 21st annual bash was held on Saturday, January 17. Every year Hair O’ The Dog picks a new chairty to donate some of its proceeds to, and this year the Philadelphia Chapter of UNICO was chosen. We traveled in style through three rooms that were themed based off of the most well-known party spots in the world; Ibiza, Miami, and Las Vegas! This year Mob Wives star Natalie Guerico and Big Brother star Paola Shea took the party to another level with their musical performances. The party didn’t just stop at the Crystal Tea Room, guests traveled in party buses to LIT ultra Bar to keep the party going until 6 a.m. where there was even a continental breakfast served! We want to thank Bernard’s Salon and The Right Fit  for being this year’s hair and dress sponsors and for choosing the perfect dress for our president, Jennifer. As always, Hair O’ The Dog was featured in many different news and media outlets, click here to see a clip from Fox 29’s Good Day with Mike and Alex. For the past 5 years Jenna Communications has been a part of this event and we are looking forward to many years to come!

On January 16, at the 2015 National Soccer Coaches Association of America Convention, our president, Jennifer Sherlock spoke to parents, coaches administrators and volunteers about social media. Jennifer ‘s presentation, “Scoring Goals through Social Media” helped parents and coaches understand the importance of using social media in order to spread the word about a certain player, game, fundraiser or event. Our intern and retired college soccer star, Courtney Annis, joined Jennifer to share her success stories with social media and soccer. It was an informative event for all attendees.

Doctors Express had a great time sponsoring the Penn vs. St. Joe’s basketball game on Saturday, January 24. Doctors Express had thousands of stressball key chains that were given out to fans at the Palestra. It was a close game at 56-53 with Penn coming home with the win. Thanks to all who came out to support Doctors Express, the Penn Quakers, and the St. Joe’s Hawks!

From January 22 to January 26, Jennifer Sherlock went to the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah! She met producers, directors, celebs, business leaders and more. Her favorite movie was Sleeping With Other People; Jennifer said it’s a must see!

This month Casey Cares Foundation sent Korey, a young boy who suffers from severe epilepsy to the Flyers game. Korey and his family got to sit in the Claude Giroux suite that was filled with tons of snacks and pizza for the family to indulge in while watching the game! It was a night that Korey will never forget!
