PR agents help you yield a higher ROI by providing media coverage to go along with other marketing efforts. Some people may wonder why go external when you can have internal PR? Public relations professionals can spot gems from junk. External PR firms generally have better relationships with the media that they work with on a constant basis as they have experience with a range of different businesses and industries. In a company, you may see everything as newsworthy, but a non-biased PR firm can tell you what is really going to do well in the media.
