Bianca’s Kids is an impactful charity organization granting the wishes of kids in need. Established in 2010, founder Debbie Savigliano founded Bianca’s Kids in memory of her niece, Bianca Yodice who was tragically hit by a car and lost her life while on her way to work. Dreaming of pursuing a career helping special needs children, Bianca’s Kids is the continuation of the passion Bianca had for children.

Celebrating its ten year anniversary, Bianca’s Kids has helped over 25,000 kids and families, granting wishes to bring joy to children from various walks of life. This years anniversary will grant two special wishes: a bedroom makeover for a special needs little boy in Waterbury, Connecticut, and a car giveaway for a single mom of six in Camden, New Jersey. Mom Jernica cares for her special needs daughter who survived a drowning when she was two years old and was left severely brain damaged. Jernica cares for her daughter who requires 24/7 attention all while tending to her other five children and running her own nonprofit that raises awareness to prevent child drownings.

Whether a child is struggling due to mental, physical, emotional or financial issues – every child in need is considered one of Bianca’s kids. To date, Bianca’s Kids has helped children in New Jersey and across the U.S. as well as in Italy, Australia, and the U.K.

From 2014 to 2019, Bianca’s Kids has won the prestigious “Top Ranked Nonprofit” award from GreatNonprofits.org. Jenna Communications is happy to work with Bianca’s Kids to continue the work of Bianca Yodice.

Philadelphia Marathon and Broad Street Run

The Philadelphia Marathon will not go on as planned this year and race officials are now looking to 2021 for the large-scale event to take place. Looming safety concerns amid the ongoing coronavirus has halted the annual race in an effort to keep everyone safe. Each year the race is a huge draw for runners, spectators, volunteers, and staff. The Philadelphia Marathon is managing registered participants with options to either redeem, donate or defer registration entry dues to the 2021 race in September. The Broad Street Run however is still on, just now as a virtual event. Participants can complete the run in the comfort of their own neighborhood and other familiar running locations. Information on how the virtual run will work and how to sign up is available on broadstreetrun.com.
