 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lehigh Valley Mall Gives Back to Military Heroes and Sets Black Friday Hours

WHITEHALL, Pa., Nov. 21, 2011— Lehigh Valley Mall is spreading holiday cheer to our troops by partnering with the American Red Cross to participate in the Holiday Mail for Heroes program.  By participating in Holiday Mail for Heroes, shoppers have the opportunity to send heartfelt messages of support and thanks to our veterans and their families now through Dec. 11.

On Nov. 25, which is Black Friday, Macy’s will open at 12:00 A.M. and the rest of Lehigh Valley Mall will open at 4:00 A.M. Mall staff encourages shoppers to take time out of the Black Friday hustle and bustle to stop by Guest Services and sign a holiday card for our troops.  “It is important that we do our part to bring a touch of home to our troops during the holiday season,” said Amanda Johnson, director of marketing at the Lehigh Valley Mall.

For Black Friday, Lehigh Valley mall shoppers will be treated to some extra perks. There will be a rejuvenation station available at the lower level Boscov’s Court, and shoppers can find flyers at all mall entrances with store specials. Radio WLEV will have a live remote broadcast from the mall starting at 5:00 A.M. where they will be giving away a $500 Simon Mall Visa Gift Card.

Shoppers can also help support the Red Cross by purchasing an American Express® Simon Candy Cane Gift Card now until Dec. 31, 2011. For every Candy Cane Gift Card that is purchased, a $1 donation will be made to the Red Cross.

Any media who would like to cover Black Friday at Lehigh Valley Mall are required to get security approval in advance by calling Jennifer Sherlock at 609-369-3482 due to the high number of shopping crowds.
