LOCAL CHARITY PROVIDES EVENING OF FUN TO CHILD BATTLING CYSTIC FIBROSIS
–Putt Putt Night Out Brings Relief from Intense Medical Treatments–
WHO: Casey Cares Foundation, a non-profit charity that provides uplifting and ongoing programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families throughout the Mid-Atlantic area, will provide an evening of fun for a girl battling cystic fibrosis and her family and friends.
WHAT: The 501(c)3 nonprofit organization has arranged an evening of miniature golf and games for Sierra M, an 11 year old girl suffering from cystic fibrosis and her family and friends. Sierra’s mom, Andrea said, “It’s a slow marathon and you have to stay steady and stay consistent, but her illness doesn’t stop her from doing everything she wants to do. She doesn’t let it define her…she’s a sweet girl and a fighter, good or bad she will challenge anything. She is strong enough to overcome any obstacles CF puts in her way, and this golf event forces her to remain active and healthy.”
This special night was made possible by Putt Putt Golf and Games in Delaware County.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 19 at 6 p.m.
WHERE: Putt Putt Golf and Games
510 W. Baltimore Ave.
Clifton Heights, PA 19018
WHY: Casey Cares Foundation offers special events that bring smiles and lift the spirits of critically ill children and their families. As a regional charity, Casey Cares Foundation allows for each event to become a personalized experience, and tailors activities to the interests and schedules of the individual recipient. “Sierra’s medical treatments are very tiring and time consuming—she has to wear an 18 pound vest every day as part of her chest physical therapy,” said Andrea, Sierra’s mother. “We only get to do family activities like miniature golf about once a year, so this is a very special opportunity for Sierra.”
