Lisa Dent, founder and President of The Women’s Empowerment Series Inc. was a guest speaker at Universal Vare Charter Schools’ ‘Sister to Sister’ symposium on Friday. In her ‘Principles of Empowerment for Young Ladies’ workshop, she touched on many important topics for today’s young women. Lisa spoke about the principles of empowerment for middle school girls as well her five building blocks for success. These five building blocks are increasing self-esteem, elevating your voice to be heard, identifying your gift, embracing who you are, and forever being a student of life. By providing girls with these uplifting messages and tools for success at a young age Lisa hopes to increase their confidence and self-awareness.                                                              .
