Oxford Valley Mall Caters Event to Families with Special Needs

Oxford Valley Mall participates with Noerr Programs and AbilityPath.org to host Caring Santas, a private photograph time with children

LANGHORNE, Pa., Nov. 28, 2011— Oxford Valley Mall is proud to be one of five Simon Property Group malls to be hosting Caring Santas, a program that allows children with special needs to have their picture taken with Santa.  The mall will open early on Sunday, Dec. 4 from 9-11 A.M. for the event.   Oxford Valley Mall is the only mall in the tri-state area to host this event.

Caring Santas allows children with special needs to be welcomed into an environment designed to support their sensory, physical and developmental needs.  The program eliminates the overwhelming environment by turning off mall music and limiting the size of the crowd.

The event is a result of a joint partnership between AbilityPath.org, a national online resource hub and special needs community, and The Noerr Programs, a leading marketing and digital imaging company providing the Santa Photo Experience at malls nationwide.

“We are so happy to be a part of this program,” said Jim Malervy, director of marketing for the Oxford Valley Mall.  “Every family that has children with special needs deserves to have this special tradition and we are glad that we can provide it for them.”

Those who attend the event will receive a $5 discount on photos.  Families are encouraged to RSVP for the event at www.AbilityPath.org.
