Oxford Valley Mall Paints Itself Pink for Big sMall Walk

Oxford Valley Mall Prepares for Mall Walk to Benefit The Bott Cancer Center at Holy Redeemer Hospital


PHILADELPHIA, October 11, 2011— As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, or “Pink October,” the Oxford Valley Mall is partnering with The Bott Cancer Center at Holy Redeemer Hospital for the Second Annual Big sMall Two Mile Walk for Breast Cancer.

On Saturday, October 29, the mall will host the walk, which is a two-mile walk set for the first floor of the Oxford Valley Mall starting at 8:30am.  Dr. Beth DuPree, director of the breast health program at Holy Redeemer and Dr. Stacy Krisher of Comprehensive Breast Care Surgeons will be in attendance to kick-off the event and educate participants on breast health. After the walk, there will be prizes and raffles while Macy’s offers free makeovers.

“We’re so happy to be able to hold this event for the second year in a row,” said Oxford Valley Mall’s  Director of Marketing , Jim Malervy.  “We raised more than $5,700 last year for the Bott Cancer Center and we’re looking forward to being able to hopefully contribute even more this year.”

Immediately after the conclusion of the event, Hair Cuttery will be hosting a Locks of Love event in the Macy’s Court from 10:00-11:00am.  Those who donate will receive a free styling from Hair Cuttery.
