Philly’s Most Glamorous Bash takes over NOTO to support Viva Glam

PHILADELPHIA, PA – January 8, 2020–On Saturday, January 18, 2020, put your paws in the air for Hair O’ The Dog’s annual philanthropic event where guests will rock out on the dance floor in dazzling dresses and dapper suits at the grandiose Noto, Philadelphia’s Most Exclusive Venue. From the Gatsbyesque décor to Noto’s massive early 20th-century chandelier composed of thousands of crystal perfume bottles, and Johnnie Walker’s signature concoctions, this glamorous bash is the perfect way to celebrate the new decade.

Performing at the not-to-be-missed event is world-touring DJ and music producer, Laidback Luke. From his classical techno to his modern and eclectic style, Laidback Luke has built an impressive musical empire. Laidback Luke’s music has laid the foundation for the distinctive Dutch house sound, which provided one of the building blocks of the EDM music genre. With chart crossover hits, remixes for legends like Mariah Carey, Robin Thicke, Green Velvet, Moodymann, and Daft Punk, and three successful albums under his belt, Laidback Luke will elevate the Hair O’ The Dog experience to a whole new level.

Taking the stage alongside Laidback Luke are the sensational Deux Twins. The real-life doubles Brigitte and Jaimee Navarrete, are Los Angeles natives and perform at the hottest clubs and venues all over the globe. Their success in the music industry (and the fashion industry!) is proliferating with production of their hits and remixes of popular hip-hop tracks.

Inaugurating this staple event is Q102’s DJ N9NE. This local favorite has performed with famous music artists 50 Cent, Lil Jon, Fetty Wap, and last year’s Hair O’ The Dog performer, T-pain. This astounding lineup of entertainment is sure to have you wagging your tail on the NOTO dance floor!

The only thing we are leaving in the 1920’s is prohibition! In addition to the talented artists, this speakeasy-themed party features a top-shelf open bar and exclusive bottle service options. Pick your poison of the night from the abundance of popular favorites provided by sponsors like Johnnie Walker, Don Julio, Ketel One, and Peroni! There’s no better way to pop bottles than for a good cause.

“Together with Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro, the founders of Hair O’ The Dog, I couldn’t be more thrilled to join forces with the M·A·C Cosmetics VIVA GLAM Fund as it promotes and supports a diverse and inclusive culture,” said Buffy Harakidas, Director of Hair O’ The Dog.” Besides the sophisticated design of this year’s venue, NOTO, emanates a vibe that is perfect for this most glamorous event. The sound and state-of-the-art lighting at NOTO complement the entertainment that we are flying in for this affair and will lend in creating the most memorable Hair O’ The Dog yet.”

A portion of Hair O’ The Dog Proceeds will go to helping in M·A·C’s fight against AIDS/HIV that they’ve been battling for over 25 years. Also, M·A·C makeup artists will be in attendance at the event and will auction off a luxurious basket filled with glamorous M·A·C products.

Bet you can’t wait to get your paws on that!

About Hair O’ The Dog:

Hair O’ The Dog was created in 1995 (that’s 109 DOG years ago!) by longtime friends Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro. Dan and Rob are also the co-founders of Chorus Communications, an award-winning Technology Consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia. The first Hair O’ The Dog was held at the Tiki Club in King of Prussia. At the party, they decided that their love of fun, combined with their whip-smart business sense, could generate income for non-profits through fundraising. From this thinking, Hair O’ The Dog was born. The founders were thrilled with the original 100 persons turn out! Each year since this glamorous gala has grown tremendously in both size and prominence. Today, the event attracts thousands of partygoers and is considered the longest-running black-tie affair in the country. HOD is directed by Buffy Harakidas, a seasoned event, and marketing professional. Known for her creativity and passion, Buffy has produced some of the biggest and best shindigs in the country. Each year, a portion of the event proceeds are donated to a designated charity. In 2019, in commemoration with Hair O’ The Dog’s 25th Anniversary, The City of Philadelphia awarded the event with a citation from the Mayor for its continued and successful philanthropic efforts.

M·A·C VIVA GLAM Fund:

M·A·C Cosmetics’ charitable campaign, VIVA GLAM, has raised over $500 million since its inception in 1994, exclusively through the sale of M·A·C VIVA GLAM lip products. VIVA GLAM funds support healthy futures and equal rights for women, girls, and the LGBTQ communities while maintaining its decades-long support for those living with HIV/AIDS. To date, the sale of VIVA GLAM products has funded more than 1,800 organizations around the globe.
