Saving Lives with Strides for Stroke 5K

We’re saving lives

Thanks to the incredible outpouring of support for Strides for Stroke, we’re raising money to help prevent stroke in the Philadelphia community. The 18th Annual Dr. Howard Mazer Memorial Strides for Stroke is a benefit event for the Delaware Valley Stroke Council that raises money for stroke survivors and caregivers as well as region-wide stroke prevention educational events and screenings.

We’re in awe of the dedication we’ve seen from our supporters.  So far, registrants have raised thousands of dollars and dozens of people have volunteered to help make Strides for Stroke the best it’s ever been! Sponsors have also joined the cause by making generous donations and offering amazing race-day gifts for the runners including delicious pretzels from the Philly Soft Pretzel Factory, free one-month memberships to Sweat Fitness, and more. The big day is coming quickly and we couldn’t be more excited!
But listen—if you haven’t signed up, it’s not too late. There are still 10 days left in National Stroke Awareness Month for you to join this remarkable event and spread awareness. Click here to sign up for the race. The first 500 registrations will be entered to win an autographed John Mayberry Jr. jersey. Register now to be in the running for other great prizes like designer sunglasses from Red Star and tickets to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
With thousands of people joining Strides for Stroke, we can save countless lives. Thousands of families can enjoy more quality time with each other. Mothers and fathers are returning to their children, their jobs, and daily life after recovering from stroke.
