COSTUMES CONTINUE AFTER HALLOWEEN FOR THE CITY’S FIRST EVER MASQUERADE CELEBRATION HONORING LOCAL HEROES
JERSEYMAN & PHILLYMAN MAGAZINE HOST 1ST ANNUAL “UNMASKING THE LEGACY” EVENT

PHILADELPHIA, PA, OCT. 21, 2015 – On November 4, 2015 Jersey Man and Philly Man Magazine host their first ever “Unmasking The Legacy” event to celebrate their man and woman of the year honorees at Union Trust. This long anticipated masquerade-themed celebration will bring together 10 men and women who have had profound impacts on their community, including Marcus Allen, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA.

Prior to beginning work at BBBS SEPA, Allen was CEO of ACHIEVEability, a Philadelphia-based nonprofit that seeks to help break the generational cycle of poverty for low income, single parent, and homeless families by providing academic, employment, housing and family support services. In anticipation of the event, Allen noted, “I am very honored to be nominated for man of the year and I am privileged to be among these 9 other men and women who have all committed their lives to the betterment of our communities.”

Other notable honorees include Brian Radwell of Radwell International Inc., Carol McWilliams of Urban Promise, Garry DeVito of Zarwin Baum, Cate Weaver of CSG Global Inc., Roy Leitstein of Legacy Treatment Services, Deborah Hays of Arhcer & Greiner P.C., Chris Murphy of FOX29, Pam Boyd of Thomas/Boyd Communications andTraci Jordan of PCA.

Festivities will begin at 6:00pm and guests are encouraged to join in on the fun by bringing their own masquerade mask, or opt for a unique face painted mask once inside. Partygoers can enjoy food stations and 4-hour top-shelf open bar as well as models, entertainers, and a DJ accompanied by a live drummer provided by EBE Entertainment. Celebrations will continue with special guest, Mike Jerrick host of FOX29’s Good Day who will be rocking the mic.
