MARLTON, N.J. – October 26, 2017- Suede Salon and Spa has announced its opening of an in-house Medical Spa, which will be known as Mend Aesthetics. Dr. Michael Shafran of Bucks County will bring ten years of experience as the Medical Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery to the spa. Dr. Shafran’s attention to detail, combined with his desire to help people reach their aesthetic goals has earned him the admiration and respect of both his peers and patients. Located in Marlton, New Jersey in The Promenade at Sagemore on Route 73, Suede Salon and Spa uses its expertise to address all beauty facets, from hair coloring to men’s grooming, to Botox.

In addition to celebrating and welcoming Dr. Michael Shafran and Mend Aesthetics, Suede Salon and Spa will be raising awareness for King’s Crusade. King’s Crusade is a non-profit organization that provides education and resources to those battling with Opioid addiction. King’s Crusade works to eliminate the stigma of addition, eradicating the influx of illegal drugs, and provides the financial support for those who cannot afford treatment. “We are losing the equivalent of the terrorist attacks of “911” every three weeks in this country. Yes every three weeks! More than 64,000 young people have tragically died, and the number is still climbing at alarming rates. It is time to wake up, and help us win this battle,” said Anne Gutos, Co-Founder of King’s Crusade.
Sue Harrison, Co-Founder of King’s Crusade also stated, “As leaders in our community, Suede Salon is bringing the important subject of addiction to light and supporting King’s Crusade. When the community can come together to help, rather than to judge, the stigma will be broken and people will not be ashamed to reach out and ask for the help they desperately need.”
Mend Aesthetics will offer the following new services such as microblading, dermaplanning and extensions, microneedling, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and micro current facials, but the list of services will continue to grow. The grand opening event will feature cocktails, and hors d’oeurves, plus select vendors such as Denim Habit, Lily Jade, and more. Guests can have fun taking part in skin consults, fall makeup and hair color consults, as well as learn the latest flat iron and curling iron techniques.
